Letter To My Niblings

 

My Dear Niblings,

You all are the luckiest children among many deprived ones in this World. You all are the loved and cared children of your hard working parents. You all are the Z- Generation of this 21^st Century in modern era today. You all own a mobile phone for easy excess to digital world while your parents can’t still afford one. You are given choice to spend your winter or summer break as a holiday package while most of your Uncle and Aunts use to help the parents back at village or earn for next school season expanses through temporary job. A very few of you have just experienced the temporary jobs for a short period and even parents don’t want you all to toil like they did just to make you more educated in the hope of better life for you all and them. They have invested a lot in you all both in time and money so far. They have sacrificed many things in life since your childhood till this teenage age with the expectation of better son and daughter every day. You all will be always a small baby till their last breath. People often say all these motherly love and fatherly care are attained only after one becomes parent themselves but it is wrong perception I would say. You all have seen your younger siblings grow and have seen all the love and care parents give. That is more than enough for you all to experience all these parental care and analyze the same.

Your main purpose right now as a student is to focus on your studies and excel in it keeping the above foundation as a baseline for who you want to become in future. You need not necessarily have a specific dream job right away to become an Engineer or a Doctor but must have at least one dream by now that is to do well in the subjects you have taken. Every dream must have a goal and dream without a goal is day dreaming and how many of you do that? If you are among the day dreamers, then your dream will always be a far dream which you will never achieve in your life time. Your parents dream of you will be shattered. Your goal and objectives for now is nothing but to do well in studies. Do your home works on time and practice daily whatever is taught in a day. This will make your teachers- second parents happy and you will automatically be a good student.  Take a revision on a chapter every week so that you don’t have to be panicked at exam time. Your result will be obvious grade A. Your dream will be closer without day dreaming. You must put in your above efforts daily for a good result.  If you plant a tree, don’t dream of its fruit right away but you must first nurture it with good water and soil. The tree will bear its fruits at its right time. Always chose the front desks in the class even if you are weak or average guy.  Don’t go with the first benchers’ theory and last benchers’ comments. I was first benchers since my pre-primary because I was shortest and I am still today. There are tremendous advantages in it and you will slowly develop your skills of brilliant student. Your feeling of weak and average student will slowly vanish as positive power of being brighter student will follow you but you must put in your efforts of daily practice. Practice makes a man perfect. Make it a daily routine. Your result will be always good. Your teacher will be proud of your performance and your parents would be more proud.  

It is the competitive world today. You have both opportunities and difficulties in your journey. As COVID-19 pandemic has swept the World in to the verge of global economic crisis, the Gen-Z (You All) must prove your definition beyond the expectation of your Gen-X parents. It is for this reason of online education system and the right use of internet and social media, you were given the smart phones NOT for the Online Games and Facebooking. Parents still have black and white phones while you own expensive Smart Phones. You must use it in a proper way to reap the maximum benefit of online education system. Your innocent parents recharge your phones often and are you all properly using it? They can’t deny because they are living in the hope and expectation of their dream of You. The government has given you the subsidized data package for online education system and have invested a lot in the hope of future citizen of the country. Remember, your dream must also cover that you will be a caring & loving son or daughter and a responsible citizen of a country.

However, it is disheartening for many parents while children are misusing the facilities given to them especially by playing PUBG. You are wasting parents and governments money which will dearly cost you all at later stage of your life. My dear Niblings, you are wasting your time and energy in such alien game I would say. Human being doesn’t fight the war the way you all do in this game. Human being is full of love and compassion in fact. You will learn this in later chapter of your life but no harm if you want to learn it now. You will be more human. There is a difference in human being and being human. The PUBG game and substance abuse are no difference to me even if you want to prove me wrong by your definition I would be least bothered for I don’t want to waste time in such bogus stuffs. You will destroy your body and mind equally by both. Most importantly, you are wasting the precious TIME which define all the aspect of your Life. Time and tide wait for no man.

While back at your home during school holidays, help your parents as much as possible. You will learn the social and family life at young age which is one of the most important chapter of your life later. Be niece to them and respect them. You will feel the love and they will be proud to see you all getting matured. You all are lucky ones to get the care and love of your parents where many unfortunate ones dearly miss their parental love and care since childhood. They have void in their hearts longing for their parents’ love and yet struggling for the same purpose. You have opportunity to learn to love and serve them simply by helping your mother in cooking and washing with willingness. If you are a boy, don’t think cooking and washing is not a manly task. You are gender discriminating as today’s world is full of gender equality. You will fail as a bachelor at first and most importantly you will not meet the criteria of a future husband. Help your sisters and mother in house chores. You will be a loving brother, caring son and a wise man undoubtedly. All these small things which you all think not important are big things that you all have to do lifelong for your living. Guide your younger siblings they will follow your steps. Listen to the advice of your parents and elders for they will never stop you from doing good. Unfortunately, if your parents are not able to guide you, seek the advice of your uncles/aunts. Some parents are still struggling with hard days’ work despite of their health conditions. You never know when they will lose the fight they are fighting for you all at the cost of their life. They have loan debt for your education. You all are matured enough to see all these struggles with your own eyes yet you are ignoring to realize the fact. By this age, all the above factors of life must be realized to achieve your dream. So, my dear Niblings at least fulfil the role of a good student now for they want to see their dream through you.

Chose a hobby that suits your passion to balance your study life. It need not be big or best but you must have passion in doing it. It must keep you engaged even for a short period of time. Remember all small and tiny things are always powerful in nature. Reading and writing hobby will greatly enhance your literature skills. You will master the language and write-up skills by the time you graduate and it is the most important skill you need in your career life irrespective of any job or position you hold. Chose a lighter indoor game for your body fitness. Likewise, Art or photography, Dancing or singing, etc. You will find the love and peace within. Life is an art, express it through your hobbies with passion. Make best use of the time by doing all good things I have shared, you will reap the most in life. If you take this advice seriously, you won’t be far from reaching your goal in life. Be a good son or daughter of your parents. Be a smart student of your teacher. Be a good elder to your younger ones. You will be a good human being which is the purpose of our Life.
